Guideline development and design for Pedestrian Signage System in Hong Kong

The objective of the project is to provide design recommendations for ARUP's existing '02Sign Art Design' and the TPDM1 and SEGD white papers' guidance, based on the results of the user tests conducted in August 2021. The design recommendations will be rooted in the user-centred design approach. Due to time constraints for the tests, the team has agreed that the recommendations will primarily focus on three key design attributes: legibility, use of colour, and information hierarchy displayed on the totem of the wayfinding prototype. The '02 Sign Art Design' has been selected as the main prototype to be tested. The design recommendations have primarily resulted and been suggested from the user test conducted in August 2021. Additionally, feedback and guidance from the TPDM and SEGD's white papers have been taken into account for the design recommendations.
Print Media Design

I have experience designing a range of publications for various institutions, including the Red Cross, the Education University, and several art societies. What I enjoy most about print media is the freedom it gives to let information flow across a larger canvas, creating a visually engaging experience for the reader. A well-designed layout not only conveys content effectively but also brings a sense of visual enjoyment to the client.
Working with text and images, I focus on the balance of lines, shapes, and space, carefully composing each element so that the overall design feels harmonious, almost like composing a piece of music that resonates with the audience. Every detail contributes to the rhythm and flow, ensuring the final piece communicates clearly while remaining aesthetically pleasing.
Interactive Media Design

I have worked as a freelance developer and designer, handling HTML and CSS coding for responsive web design as well as maintaining legacy Flash websites. I often used Webflow to create the site structure, then exported the code and added custom JavaScript to meet specific client requirements. The most challenging aspect was balancing design with development.
My clients have included the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, Another Mountain Man, MV Production House, Beauty salon, Environmental Association, Geo Park, Sun Hung Kai Properties, Morris, and ING Insurance.
3D Model Visualisation

I use Cinema 4D for 3D visualisation. My projects have included interior design renderings for a pet hospital, wall paint visualisations for a secondary school, exhibition effect renderings, and shop front renderings. I am now also using Blender for .json 3D graphics and animation.
